By 1994 South Coast had nearly eighty boys playing on eight teams, ages 13 through 18.
The local high school players were forced to travel out of the area to find a club team. At that time there was just one other boys volleyball club in the beach area and it only had one 14 ‘s division team. Mary Boice started South Coast Volleyball Club in the South Bay with one boy’s team in 1991.
